Hardware Development

Dr David Austin has extensive experience with development of electronic hardware, including microcontroller-based projects, DSP, FPGA and analog circuits. David built his first Z80 computer at age 14 and is still developing electronic devices, both professionally and as a hobby.

  • Very experienced with embedded processors, PIC, AVR, TMS430
  • Familiar with DSPs, FPGAs and field programmable logic
  • Extensive experience with design, manufacture and debugging of digital circuits
  • Considerable experience with design, manufacture and debugging of analog circuits

Recent projects include a USB to RS422 interface, force sensing cranks for bikes and motion control systems for robots. See our projects page for more details.
